Dr. Vivian Dzedzora

Dr. Dzedzora completed her Ph.D. at the University of British Columbia with a research focus on trauma and stress and anxiety in the work environment. She completed her Doctoral Internship with Corrections Canada at the Psychiatric Hospital in the Regional Psychiatric Centre in Abbotsford, BC. Her areas of practice are Forensic Psychology and the assessment and treatment of PTSD, Anxiety Disorders, and Depression. Dr. Dzedzora currently works with First Responders including active members of the Military, Military Veterans, police, firefighters, and paramedics. Prior to joining the Vancouver Island Clinic Dr. Dzedzora worked for Corrections Canada providing risk assessments and group and individual therapy for Forensic clients. She has also completed forensic assessments for lawyers and provided expert testimony in Court. Her primary clinical orientation is cognitive behavioural, however she also utilizes interventions that include; mindfulness strategies, meditation, and solution-focused therapy. Dr. Dzedzora is registered to practice psychology in the Province of BC (2096).
